Recently, we stumbled upon a YouTube video of a cat meeting her new puppy brothers for the very first time, and it turned out to be as delightful as we expected. Watching how this cat’s attitude towards the puppies shifted over just 24 hours was so captivating that we knew we had to share it.
When it comes to first impressions, things between Floki the cat and the new pups were far from smooth. Floki wasn’t exactly thrilled about her new housemates and made her displeasure known through a series of hisses and spitting. On the other hand, the puppies were on their best behavior despite the rather unfriendly reception. They whimpered eagerly to be freed from their carrier, seemingly unaware of Floki’s icy reaction.
After a little hesitation, their human mom decided to let the puppies out of their cage, although she made sure to keep a safe distance between them and Floki, who was still visibly unhappy. Even though Floki was clearly not pleased with the sight of these new intruders, her curiosity got the better of her, and she couldn’t help but inch closer to check them out.
The puppies, full of innocence and eagerness, simply wanted to get to know their new feline sister, but Floki wasn’t having it just yet. She cautiously approached them, giving a quick sniff, but quickly retreated with a hiss when one of the puppies got a little too close. It left us wondering: would these three ever get along?
Just as you start to wonder if peace will ever be achieved, the video jumps ahead 24 hours, and what we see is a complete turnaround! Floki, who had been so cold and distant the day before, is now happily running around, playing with the puppies as if they’ve been lifelong pals. She playfully chirps at them and chases one of the pups as he darts through a tunnel. It’s a total transformation from her initial reaction!

Six years I have allowed you and your husband to stay here and give me food and water. I gave you the privilege to scoop out my waste from a box of grey sand. And this is how you repay me?
