Cat Turns When Puppy Yanks His Tail, Dog Claims “It Wasn’t Me”

Cats are special creatures who thrive on companionship despite the assumption they’re always independent. Kitties are often found snuggling with their humans and other furry members of the family. This story, which is heartwarming and surprising, focuses on a unique friendship that formed once a puppy entered a home and changed this feline into a ‘dog person.’ When Dino’s mom, Rosanna, saw a photo of a newly rescued puppy online, she knew the pup belonged with them. What Dino couldn’t comprehend was just how challenging this adjustment would be once the puppy, named Mia, moved in.

Mia was rescued after being abandoned. She was likely left by her owner because her back legs were paralyzed. This did not deter Rosanna and her husband one bit! They knew they could offer a loving home for Mia and accommodate her needs. The couple hoped Dino would adjust and learn to accept the special pup.

When Mia was brought home, Dino didn’t know what to think. There was this puppy, full of energy, encroaching on his space. She seemed to need a lot of attention, attention that had once been focused on him. Once Mia learned the lay of the land and got used to getting around without the use of her back legs, her playfulness kicked in.

Mia had ‘puppy energy’ all day long, often doing her version of zoomies in the house and outside. Dino didn’t know what to think, especially when Mia’s attention turned to him. The puppy was determined to win Dino over and make him her best friend.

The pup didn’t go about this mission with manners. She often yanked on his tail, and when Dino turned his head to look at her, Mia turned away as if she was saying, “It wasn’t me.” Yes, the pup was quite the pest, but suddenly, Dino realized she had good intentions. He soon learned to accept Mia as his new playmate.

Being that Dino is an adult cat, he didn’t initiate playtime like Mia did. Instead, he wanted to interact on his time and with his level of energy. It was a rough go at first, but Mia quickly learned to adjust and meet Dino halfway.
