Feet & Bikini Friendly

Tuff Coat is created through a unique process of cross-linking urethanes, acrylics, co-polymers and recycled rubber granules, making it a feet & bikini friendly finish.

Flexible & Durable

Tuff Coat is a single component, flexible, water-based non-skid coating designed to create a long-lasting non-slip finish.

Apply By Roller Or Spray

Tuff Coat can be applied with Tuff Coat textured rollers or with a low-pressure hopper gun or commercial texture sprayer for larger applications.

UV & Chemical Resistant

Tuff Coat is a UV & chemical resistant product, making it a great, long-lasting choice for both indoor and outdoor applications.

step-1-cleanstep-1-clean

3 STEPS TO A PERFECT APPLICATION

Step 1: Clean

A properly cleaned surface is crucial to achieve a beautiful and lasting finish. It is essential that the surface is sound, dry, and free of all wax, oil, grease, and loose materials. You must remove all grease, oil, and other contaminants from the surface. Do not leave any residue behind. Clean the surface thoroughly with a commercial degreaser, such as Tuff Coat Cleaner & Degreaser and a scrub brush. After the surface has been scrubbed with a degreaser, rinse well with a steady stream of water. Allow to dry. (NOTE: DO NOT use solvent-based products for cleaning purposes.)

step-2-mixstep-2-mix

3 STEPS TO A PERFECT APPLICATION

Step 2: Mix

Properly mixing Tuff Coat products is a critical step to achieving a finish that will last for years to come. We highly recommend using a drill mixer capable of 250-500 rpm with a metal mixing blade. Slowly submerge the mixing blade into the Tuff Coat. Do not insert the mixing blade to the bottom of the Tuff Coat immediately. While mixing, make sure you are distributing the rubber aggregate throughout the can/pail evenly. (NOTE: You will periodically need to re-mix Tuff Coat throughout the application process in order to maintain proper suspension of the aggregate in the resin.)

step-3-applystep-3-apply

3 STEPS TO A PERFECT APPLICATION

Step 3: Apply

It is recommended that you apply two coats of Tuff Coat topcoat for light or average traffic areas and three coats for heavy traffic areas. It is important to “build up” the Tuff Coat coating, and do not attempt to achieve desired thickness in one coat. To avoid “cracking”, do not allow Tuff Coat to pool.
